Pearl Haven Therapeutic Riding Program

Pearl Haven Therapeutic Riding Program believes in using the horse's natural movements to influence the body of the rider (Hippotherapy). We are also aware of the mental health benefits of riding (Equine Facilitated Mental Health).

No matter what the ability/disability, we focus on therapeutic riding to provide socialization, recreation, interaction of clients and horses, and the care and training of the horse.

In addition, therapeutic riding provides life skills training, and rehabilitation for individuals with disabilities. At our riding program, individuals of all ages are exposed to a sense of freedom and achievement. For many students with physical disabilities, riding may be their only experience of this kind of mobility.

For students with social and emotional issues, horses provide a safe, yet stimulating environment in which to work through life issues.

At this time, Adult spaces are limited. Please contact Tracy to enquire.

It is not necessary to have a referral to participate in the Therapeutic Riding Program; clients are either directed to The Western Riding Program or Therapeutic Riding on a case by case scenario.

Riders may qualify for subsidies through grants from Sunshine Coast Community Services or School District # 46. Please contact them directly to inquire:
